Small Groups Ministry

Home Friendship Groups

"So continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house - the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved" (Acts 2:46-47).

Get ready! Union City Apostolic Church is coming to your neighborhood! We have launched a new ministry called Home Friendship Groups in our area, bringing a personal touch of our church into your home.

What is a Home Friendship Group and what will it look like?

These small groups of 3 to 12 people will be for new believers and mature Christians alike. Lead by specially trained members of the Union City Apostolic congregation, they will offer the opportunity to come together for mutual encouragement through prayer, the study of God's Word and the development of close personal relationships.

Why are we doing home groups?

There are several reasons why the Lord is leading us in this direction. The main reason is to extend the love and compassion so many have found at Union City Apostolic Church into homes all around the city, connecting people and changing lives.

What is the Biblical basis for home groups?
Jesus ministered to the masses, but He chose to develop the faith of His closest disciples in the context of a small group. The book of Acts and the Epistles of Paul often make reference to the early believers meeting in homes.

God's Word exhorts us to "love one another", to "pray for one another" and to "build up one another". Small groups offer us a better opportunity to fulfill this calling as we form close relationships with each other, pray for one another's needs and ultimately help each other to become mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Growth Is A Simple Process At Union City Apostolic Church

  • Connect
Welcome to Membership! Our vision is to help people take their first spiritual steps after becoming followers of Jesus Christ through baptism in water and Spirit. Once people have joined our church family, we connect them by helping them develop deep relationships with God and their church family. If there is anything we can do to serve you, please let us know.

  • Commit
Welcome to Maturity. Our desire is to see every member progressing and living a life of purpose. It is an exciting challenge and a lifelong pursuit to become more like Jesus Christ. Our goal is not to give you information, but to lead you to transformation. We will provide you with the tools and practical helps through the study of God's Word.

  • Serve
Welcome to Ministry! We will help you discover your God given ministry gift and learn how to use it to serve God and others. By serving in a ministry, you best describe how God made you. God is using people just like you to change lives for His glory. We invite you to come be a part of it by serving at the Union City Apostolic Church.

  • Share
Welcome to Missions and Evangelism! Our mission statement is - "Apostolics of Union City: a membership connected to the Apostolic Faith, committed to spiritual maturity, carrying out the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ."

    • A membership connected to the Apostolic Faith - What separates us from the secular humanitarian agencies is that we are to share the "whole gospel", the good news, of the new life that is only possible through Jesus Christ. We are a continuation of the ministry that Jesus started. We want to be connected to that beginning.

    • Committed to spiritual maturity - In all we do, we show love. And in showing love, we become living representatives of God for the world that desperately needs what only He can provide. Maturity is the result of that transformation.

    • Carrying out the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ - There is something about God's reach to us that compels us to reach beyond our own needs, wants, and desires to others.

You never know what God may do within your heart as you travel through the Union City Apostolic Church growth Process. So... let the journey begin!
